Getting Stubborn Dirt Off of Your Windows
Regardless of the material our window fixtures are made of, they all will eventually appear discolored over time due to the accumulation of dirt and residue. The presence of dirt in the house is never a pleasant feeling, and it can even lead to embarrassment when guests are around. Luckily, there is a way to get windows and fixtures clean again by using all-natural products.
Eco-friendly Solutions for Cleaning Window Fixtures
As we all probably know, there are always store-bought options when choosing a cleaning product for the home. And as always, they come with their disadvantages. These include a high price tag and the damaging consequences to the environment and our health. And for this reason, we would like to promote the use of all-natural products when it comes to cleaning windows. It may come as a pleasant surprise that we can also make these natural products at home, eliminating the need to go to the supermarket.
The first method we will discuss is perfect for window fixtures that are made of wood. We can begin by mixing about a tablespoon of Marseille soap with 2 liters of warm water. Now just soak a soft cloth with the solution and rub the cloth along the dirty window fixture. You will see that the dirt will come off the material with ease.
The other method we will discuss can be applied to plastic fixtures. First, we will need some baking soda. Add 3 tablespoons to 400 ml of warm water. Mix until you have a consistent solution. Now you can apply the solution with a rag to the plastic surfaces. Continue to scrub until all the dirt has been eliminated.
