Natural remedies to eliminate all types of stains on clothes
As we mentioned, stains come in various kinds and require different treatments. Let’s begin with coffee stains, which can be quite stubborn. An excellent ingredient for removing them is white vinegar. To use it, pour 2 teaspoons into a glass of warm water, soak a cotton ball in the solution, and dab the stain.
If you’ve indulged your sweet tooth and have stained your dress with chocolate, don’t worry; you can use carbonated mineral water. If the stain is fresh, stretch the fabric, pour a few drops of carbonated water over the affected area, and rub with your fingers. If the stain is dry, fill a basin with hot water, add 1 or 2 drops of liquid soap, and rub.
After a long day, shirts can become soaked in sweat, especially in the area under the armpits. To tackle sweat stains, blend 1 tablespoon of baking soda with half a tablespoon of lemon juice. Apply the mix to the affected spot and rub it in.
If the stain to be removed is oil or grease, dab it with talcum powder and let it sit for 60 minutes. The talcum powder will absorb the stain, leaving your garment looking good as new.
After a delightful dinner with friends and a toast, it may happen that you spill a few drops of red wine on your dress, don’t worry. Pour 3 or 4 drops of lemon juice on the stain, or mix the lemon juice with 1 tablespoon of liquid soap. Dab the stain, let it sit for 15 minutes, and then proceed with normal washing.
