Solutions for Clogged Drains

Our first method involves items that you probably already have in your home. We will need:

  • 300 ml of Coca-Cola
  • 3 tablespoons of baking soda
  • 250 grams of coarse salt
empty coke bottle

Now take these three items and mix them in a bowl. All we have to do now is pour the mixture down the sink or toilet and wait. After the mixture sits overnight in the pipe, we can go and check the situation, and there is a good chance that the drain is now clog-free.

Another option requires only white wine vinegar. Pour 250 ml of vinegar down the drain and wait just a couple of minutes. After just a little bit of time, the situation should so signs of improvement.

If all else fails, we can try a slight variation of the previous two methods. Mix together 100 grams of salt and 100 grams of baking soda. Set the mixture aside, then add 150 ml of white wine vinegar to 300 ml of boiling water. Pour the mixed baking soda and salt down the drain then immediately follow up with the vinegar and boiling water. If this doesn’t fix the problem, then you just might have to end up calling the plumber, but in most cases, you can save yourself some time and money by taking care of the problem yourself.
