Getting Rid of Those Orange Stains on Bathroom Surfaces
There is no argument about it. Those orange stains that commonly form on all types of bathroom surfaces are not very easy on the eyes. Often, they can seem like the difference between a well-kept bathroom and a complete disaster. That is why we are going to discuss what exactly causes these stains and, most importantly, how to get rid of them naturally.
Before we get into how to get rid of these stains, it would probably be worth mentioning how one could avoid the problem altogether. Prevention can be achieved simply by practising good habits. After baths and showers, make sure to thoroughly dry wet surfaces with a towel. Whenever there is steam in the air, try to air out the bathroom immediately. This can be done simply by opening the window and the bathroom door.
Eliminating Orange Stains
If the damage has already been done, though, we need to do something about it. We can get started by squeezing several lemons into a spray bottle and mixing the juice with water. Now, spray the affected areas in the bathroom and let the solution sit for about ten minutes. After, you can scrub the dirt away with a toothbrush and dry it thoroughly with a clean rag.
An alternative all-natural cleaning product we can use comes from a combination of vinegar and baking soda. Mix two parts vinegar with one part water in a spray bottle. Shake up the liquid until it is mixed thoroughly and spray on the stained surfaces. For this application, we should wait about 15 minutes before adding the baking soda. Just sprinkle some baking soda over the area and wait another half hour. After, wipe away any leftover debris with a sponge and dry thoroughly. If you are not satisfied with the results, just repeat the process until the stains have completely disappeared.
