How to prepare desert roses
To start, get the following ingredients: 220 grams of 00 flour, 60 grams of potato starch, 170 grams of butter, 2 large eggs, 150 grams of granulated sugar, 20 grams of instant baking powder, 1 vial of vanilla flavoring, 180 grams of raisins, 200 grams of cornflakes.
In a bowl, mix the butter and sugar using an electric whisk. Gradually add the eggs, sifted flour, baking powder, starch, and the vanilla flavoring. Mix the ingredients until you obtain a smooth batter, and then fold in the raisins.
Now that the dough is ready, shape it into balls using your hands and roll them in the cornflakes, ensuring complete coverage. With this quantity, you should make approximately 25 to 30 balls. Line a baking tray with baking paper and place the balls on it, leaving some space between each. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 16-18 minutes.
Once you’ve removed the desert roses from the oven, allow them to cool in the pan and arrange them on a tray. At this stage, you can serve them as is or add a dusting of icing sugar for an extra touch of sweetness.
