The Perfect Summer Snack, Discover These Light Biscuits and You Won’t Want to Do Without Them
In various articles, we have experimented together with a series of recipes: desserts without flour, without eggs, or without sugar. Today, though, we’re venturing into something entirely different: light biscuits made with just 3 ingredients. The twist here is that we’re substituting flour with bananas to create a healthy and delicious treat, with only 106 calories per piece.
To prepare these light biscuits, as previously mentioned, we will use bananas instead of flour. This substitution not only adds a unique flavor but also reduces the overall calorie content of the dessert. Traditional white flour, often used in many confectioneries, is high in carbohydrates and calories, making it challenging to manage your weight or maintain a balanced diet. By swapping it out for bananas, you can significantly lower the calorie count of your treat without sacrificing taste or texture.
Light Biscuit Recipe with Just 3 Ingredients
Are you ready to experience something unique and tasty? To make 15 light biscuits, gather these ingredients: 4 bananas, 140 grams of oat flakes, 80 grams of grated coconut, and 1 tablespoon of coconut or olive oil of your choice.
Start by peeling the bananas and mashing them with a fork. Once you’ve achieved the desired consistency, add the oat flakes, grated coconut, and your chosen coconut or olive oil to the mashed bananas. Mix everything together until you obtain a smooth and uniform mixture. Cover them with cling film and let them rest for 5 minutes. If you love chocolate, you can add a few drops of dark chocolate into the mixture for an extra layer of flavor.
Preheat your oven to 356 degrees Fahrenheit (or 180 degrees Celsius). Prepare a baking tray by covering it with baking paper. Using a spoon or your hands, shape the mixture into small dough balls and place them on the baking tray, leaving enough space between each one, as the biscuits will slightly expand while baking.
Now, put the biscuits in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until they turn golden and become crispy on the surface. Alternatively, you can use an air fryer and cook them at 392 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius) for about 10-15 minutes. Once cooked, all you have to do is take them out of the oven, let them cool, and enjoy them as you prefer. They are delicious on their own as a healthy snack, but you can also pair them with a cup of tea or coffee.
