A Wonderful Hot Beverage With Coffee and Cinnamon
It is no mystery that cinnamon has a lot of potential as an aromatic spice. This has been known throughout history. In fact, cinnamon has also been known to have a place in the field of medicine. But more often than not, this spice is used to add flavor to a variety of dishes and beverages in the kitchen. And here, we are going to discuss a beverage that consists of a tasty combination cinnamon and coffee.
Despite its sweet taste, cinnamon is actually quite beneficial to our health by helping reduce our cholesterol levels and blood sugar. The spice is also famous for its antioxidant properties. By adding some cinnamon to our coffee, we are able to create a pleasant taste while also making a healthy drink.
Cinnamon Coffee Recipe
There are a few ways to go about preparing cinnamon coffee. The simplest way to prepare the beverage is to simply add one or two tablespoons of ground cinnamon to a cup of hot coffee. However, if you just want a hint of cinnamon and prefer a bit of subtlety, you can simply give a cinnamon stick a few stirs in your coffee before drinking.
Another way to infuse our coffee with cinnamon is to mix our coffee grounds with cinnamon before straining. Begin by heating 300 ml of water on your stove. While waiting for the water to boil, mix one teaspoon of cinnamon with 3 tablespoons of coffee grounds. Once the water is ready, you can make your beverage like you normally would when preparing a normal cup of coffee.
We can also make an iced version of cinnamon coffee. Like with our previous method, your cinnamon and coffee grounds before brewing. Once you have prepared your mixture of grounds, brew your coffee as you normally would. This time, we will add the prepared coffee to a large glass of ice. We recommend also adding some milk and whipped cream for a little extra flavor.
